Norris EJ Jackson III is a Chicago bred singer and songwriter who has already shared the stage with artists such as Jonathan McReynolds, Ivan Neville, Shele Sondhiem, Paula Cole, and Charlie Sexton. With a strong passion for music, and an even greater passion for God, Norris began writing songs nearly 10 years ago, and has been singing twice as long; since the age of four to be exact.
Utilizing all of the knowledge and skills that he cultivated while earning his Bachelor of Music degree in Contemporary, Urban, and Popular Music as a 2012 graduate of Columbia College Chicago, Norris released his debut EP, Supernaturally Loved, which features 5 of his original songs that he both wrote and produced, in addition to an original arrangement of one of his favorite hymns. His debut single, "I Don't Wanna Break Your Heart No More", debuted on Street Sermonz with Keno Greer , Da Gospel Truth with Gerald Jones, X'perience Radio with Nate Thompson, as well as 102.3 Rejoice's The King’s Highway with Darryll King. He's also been featured in media outlets such as Heed Magazine, The Chicago Defender, and That Grape Juice.
With a wide variety of musical influences, such as The Beatles, Smokie Norful, John Legend, Keith Urban, Musiq Soulchild, Michael Bublè, Jason Nelson, Brandy, Kierra Sheard, Rascal Flatts, and John Mayer, he hopes to speak to the hearts of everyone who hears his practical, inspirational, empowering lyrics as the music and essence of his influences have impacted him.
